Dress Hire Terms & Conditions

Thank you for choosing The Perfect Pfit. By hiring a dress from us, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These ensure a smooth and positive experience for both you and our boutique.

 

Rental Period

  • Rental begins from the date of collection and ends on the agreed return date.
  • We offer 4 or 8 day rental options.
  • It is recommended to plan ahead and reserve a dress at least 3 months prior to your event.
  • We recommend booking the dress 1-2 days before your event to ensure it arrives on time.
  • Please keep us updated with any issues during your hire period.

 

Payments & Security Deposit

  • Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your dress through our online store only.
  • Some dresses may require a security deposit, which will be refunded once the item is returned in its original condition.
  • We unfortunately do not accept cash.

 

Cancellations & Refunds

  • Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the rental period begins are eligible for a partial refund (minus a cancellation fee).
  • $45 for hires under $200
  • $75 for hires $200 and over
  • Cancellations within 48 hours of the rental period start date will receive a store credit (valid for 12 months).
  • Once a dress has been collected, no refunds or store credits will be issued.

Note: Cancellation fees help cover admin, cleaning prep, and missed booking opportunities.

 

Dress Collection & Returns

  • Dresses must be collected and returned to The Perfect Pfit boutique in Yambil Street or via the express post label provided when you received the dress.
  • For weekend rentals, returns are due by the following Monday by 2pm.
  • For non-weekend rentals, returns are due by 2pm on the agreed return date.
  • Late returns incur fees (see below).

 

Late Returns

  • A late fee of 50% of the total hire fee applies each day until the dress is lodged.
  • If a dress is not returned within 7 days, the full retail value will be charged to cover replacement costs.

 

Dress Condition & Damages

  • Dresses are inspected before each hire.
  • Minor wear and tear (e.g. loose threads or missing beads) is acceptable.
  • Significant damage, heavy staining, or alterations will result in repair or replacement fees.
  • If a dress is damaged beyond repair, the full RRP will be charged.

Examples of significant damage include:

  • Large tears
  • Red wine stains
  • Broken zippers or straps

 

PFit Guarantee

  • We recommend booking a try-on appointment/service to ensure the garment fits you perfectly.
  • If your dress does not fit, you may exchange it for another available option within 24 hours of pickup.

 

Cleaning & Hygiene

  • Dry cleaning is included in your hire.
  • Please do not attempt to clean, wash, iron, or dry clean the garment yourself.
  • Excessive staining or unauthorised cleaning may result in additional charges.

Please treat your rental like it’s your own. We advise to not attempt to try remove the stain yourself. However, if you are concerned of a stain, contact us immediately so we can advise you on how to treat the stain to avoid further damage.

 

Store Credit & Future Bookings

  • Store credits are valid for 12 months.
  • You can book rentals up to 3 months in advance.

 

Liability & Responsibility

  • The Perfect Pfit is not responsible for any injuries, allergic reactions, or accidents while wearing a rented item.
  • Customers are responsible for the care and timely return of all items.
